Welcome to my personal web site. My name is Michael Scrivo, as you've probably gathered by the big header at the top of the site. The aim of this site is to tell you a little bit about myself and to give you a glimpse of what I have accomplished in the past, through both my undergraduate career at the University of Toronto and things I've taken up on my own personal time.

To begin with, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from the University of Toronto with an Hon. BSc in 2002. My degree consists of a specialist in Software Engineering, a Logic major and a Mathematics minor. The Software Engineering specialist is essentially the computer science program with a bit more emphasis on practical software design, but fear not, I still had to endure all the theoretical goodness one would expect from a fine institute such as U of T. Even though I've completed the required mathematics courses required for the computer science program, I've opted for the the Software Engineering program because it more genuinely reflects my interests and abilities. Sadly, I am not the theoretical researcher type of computer scientist, but rather a more practical one who is interested in learning new methods of developing software and further developing and solidifying my software development skills. Hence the Software Engineering title fits me perfectly! If you're an employer looking for a hard working, analytical and meticulous software engineer that has great communication skills, please don't hesitate to contact me. Just click on my name below.

I've chosen to keep the site clean and simple because that's the type of person I am. Besides, who can find anything in those overly complex, flash ridden, unnavigable sites? Admittedly, I also want to show off my XHTML/CSS skills. The entire site validates as XHTML 1.0 strict and nearly all visual elements were done in CSS, including the navigation menus.

Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict Valid CSS!
